• To help my neighbors struggling to make ends meet. (Today: I am concerned about the impact of proposed data centers on our electric bill.)

• To bring fairness to all reaches of our county: Hearing how Bob Ashton in Piercefield died after being told he lived “too far away” to receive home health care and how Piercefield feels forgotten impacted my decision to run.

• To encourage infrastructure that is resilient in the face of extreme weather, a need brought to focus with storms like Hurricane Debbie.

• To support and promote essential services. As a teacher for 37 years and a mom who adopted from the foster care system, I am keenly aware of the importance of what services mean to individuals and families.
